About Employment
The Livingston Public Schools has established an outstanding reputation for providing our students and our staff with a superior educational environment. The school district prides itself on a collaborative environment of success for which we credit both professional and support staff. The Human Resources Department is committed to assuring that our employees experience a satisfying and rewarding work experience. Staff members within our district contribute their talents and energies to improving the environment and quality of the district and in return, they are presented with opportunities to grow and advance professionally.
Our district offers challenging employment opportunities to people looking for career growth in an environment that recognizes individuals for their contributions. We are always searching for strategic thinkers, team players, and innovators. We strive to attract qualified candidates who will complement our outstanding current staff, and welcome your interest and questions about employment in our district.
Governed by a five member elected Board of Education, the Livingston Public School District pursues its primary mission—empowering all to learn, create, contribute and grow. This occurs through the efforts of an extremely well-qualified professional and support staff. Administrators, teachers, counselors, and others, who have direct contact with students on a daily basis, are dedicated to their careers and pursue with enthusiasm the continuation of the very best instruction that public schools can offer.
The Human Resources Department acts as a link between administration and employees. As employees enter the district, we strive to inform employees about district policies that affect them and introduce new staff members to district procedures. We take enormous pride in both our current professional and support staff and exercise tremendous care in attracting new talented and enthusiastic individuals with similar qualities.
The Livingston Public Schools has a long standing record of nondiscrimination in our employment practices. We provide a work climate that models for our students equal opportunity for all people without regard to race, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, disability, sex or age. We carefully select our employees through electronic applications filed, personal interviews and reference checks. This process helps us to find and employ people who are concerned with their own personal success and the success of our schools; people who want to do a job well and who can carry on their work with skill and ability; and people who are committed to our district and can work well within a team.
