Facility Rental Information

The Livingston Board of Education recognizes the importance of it's school buildings and facilities to the community and believes that community groups should be encouraged to use school facilities when such uses do not interfere with school programming or related activities. See below for facility rental policy, fees, capacities and application. Before completing all required paperwork, be sure to confirm with the school that the dates and times you are requesting are available for your organization's use and please take note of the following information:

  • Proof of Insurance: Use of a school facility requires that the organization provide a Certificate of Insurance prior to the scheduled date of use. The Board of Education shall require that all users of school facilities comply with policies of the Board and the rules and regulations of the District and any restrictions imposed upon the use of the facility involved. Each user shall submit with each request for facility usage a Certificate of Insurance with a carrier acceptable to the Board, in limits of $1,000,000 for bodily injury and $1,000,000 for the property damage which certificate names the Livingston Board of Education as an additional named insured. Such insurance shall be in a company licensed to do business in the State of New Jersey.
  • Hold-Harmless Agreement: In addition, a Hold-Harmless Agreement must be completed and submitted with the application to use school a facility by all groups and/or individuals requesting use of a Livingston Board of Education building and/or grounds. Download and complete the form below. 
  • Automated External Defibrillator Locations: AEDs are located in each school. While not required by law, AEDs are available for public use during scheduled events in our school buildings. 
  • Stage Backdrop Materials: All material used for backdrops must be of fire resistant material and must either have a certificate attached to same or be presented to the Livingston Fire Inspector at the time of inspection.
  • Smoke/Haze/Fog Machines Prohibited: The use of smoke/haze/fog machines of any kind is prohibited in LPS buildings. Please note that these types of machines will set off the buildings' fire alarms and will disrupt your event.
